The two halves of Sydney Harbour Bridge arches were joined 19 August 1930 at 10pm. This photo was taken a few days later, as the work continued for many months before the bridge officially opened on 19 March 1932. Caption: "Sydney Harbour Bridge, 28'8'30. D.B.B."
