Three people working on Sir Francis Chichester's seaplane, a De Havilland DH 60G Gipsy Moth named Madam Elijah (ZK-AKK).
Sir Francis famously completed the first solo East - West flight across the Tasman Sea in 1931. Required to land at Norfolk Island and Lord Howe Island to refuel, the endeavour was temporarily interrupted by gale force winds at Lord Howe Island, which flipped the plane upside down overnight. For the next 9 weeks, locals helped with the repairs before Sir Francis could successfully continue the journey to Jervis Bay.
