Australian Cooperative Digitisation Project
The Australian Cooperative Digitisation Project was a pilot digitisation project coordinated by the National Library of Australia, and was funded in 1995. The project undertook the development of a digital library of Australian journals, newspapers and novels published in the period 1840-1845.
This collection was originally part of the Sydney Electronic Text and Image Service (SETIS) website.
This collection includes all four of the items that were transcribed by the University of Sydney Library as part of this project:
- Love Story /by a Bushman (1841), by William Harvey Christie (1808-1873);
- Tales for the Bush (1845), by Mary Theresa Vidal (1815-1873);
- Adventures of a Colonist (1845), by Thomas McCrombie (1819-1869); and
- Tales of the Colonies (1843), by Charles Rowcroft (1798-1856).
