Miscellaneous writings of Georgiana McCrae : part of a supplementary journal, or commonplace book, for the year 1864.

A series of leaves cut from an old cash book, or diary, and used by the diarist at one time, probably, as a supplementary journal, or common-place book. All the contents are interesting, and some pages have relevance to passages printed in the journal. For instance, the death of Aboriginal man Johnnie, the son of "Bogie", is recorded with much greater detail in the journal. At one time the book was probably well filled, but a number of the pages have been removed, as the pagination shows. The words of numerous poems, and some old ballads have been included by the diarist, who at all times maintained her sense of humour.--On page [1].|Includes book stamp: "Harry F.
