Ukiyo-e (浮世絵) or "floating world" is a genre of Japanese art popularly used to depict life during the peaceful Edo period (17th to 19th century).
In this rare and significant collection of woodblock prints, stories of love, adventure and tea ceremonies are featured in the illustrated works of renowned artists 歌川国貞 Utagawa Kunisada, 丹羽桃渓 Niwa Tōkei and 柳下亭種員 Ryūkatei Tanekazu among others.
