Artist’s statement: "I'm definitely not an experienced embroiderer but in this specific instance during the lockdown, I stitched something. A little diagram of a Cigweld Weldskill 135 mig welder for a friend of mine. Their welder is a significant tool for their creative practice, and  they're also contracted to do small welding jobs. It felt right to honour the welder at a time when my friend would be losing most of their work and creative outlet, and their welder would sit unused. We live in different cities and won't get to see each other for quite a while now, so I wanted to connect in a way that felt personal and tangible. Just a bit of fun :)"
