Transcript: Interview with Jake James
Transcript of the interview with Jake James.
Jake James, First-year student (straight from high school), Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Politics and International Relations), majoring in History, was interviewed by Kristian Marijanovic as part of a survey of students and staff experiences of the ongoing pandemic on 13 November 2020 at 1.04 pm in a room at the School of Philosophical and Historical Inquiry offices, overlooking the Quad.
This interview is part of the Experiences During the COVID-19 Pandemic Project, a student-led survey, designed by undergraduate representatives in the History Department at the University of Sydney. The goal is to contribute to the archival record that documents this moment in time, in a way that will be useful for future scholars.
The survey is in two parts. The first asks for personal stories and experiences about self-isolation over the few months in 2020. The second queries the institutional response to the pandemic, including questions about the creation of knowledge about this moment in time.
